Department of Sociology

Personality development of students through social interaction and to excel in teaching on the basis of social research based knowledge is the main ethos of this department of sociology. In the year 1969 subject of sociology was introduced at undergraduate level and in 1982 at post graduate level. Proudly since 1984, our department and resources is serving as research centre for scholar’s students also this subject is taken as employment oriented subject for competitive exams and various level administrative field. Students from this department are continuously securing merit list position.
