Department of History

Established in 1969, the Department of History of D.P. Vipra College is one of the oldest and most respected departments of the college. The department is dedicated to promoting historical knowledge, cultural awareness, and research-oriented learning among students. At present, the department is enriched by four dedicated Assistant Professors who guide students in various fields of History including Ancient, Medieval, Modern, and Regional History. Through quality teaching, seminars, academic activities, and research guidance, the department has maintained a strong tradition of academic excellence.

Over the years, many students from the department have achieved success in education, administration, research, civil services, social work, and various government and private sectors at both state and national levels. The department takes pride in its contribution to society by producing responsible, knowledgeable, and successful citizens.
