Department of Commerce

The Commerce Department of D.P. Vipra College was established in 1985 with B.Com classes, followed by PG courses in 1991, English-medium classes in 1997, and computer applications in 2000. A Commerce Research Center was established in 2016, strengthening the department’s role in higher education and research.

With around 948 enrolled students, the department emphasizes academic excellence, discipline, leadership, and overall personality development. Students actively participate in NCC, NSS, Red Cross, sports, cultural activities, and academic exhibitions, achieving notable success in university examinations. Many alumni hold prestigious administrative, academic, and professional positions in government, non-government organizations, universities, and institutions.
